PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammad Al Nasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ongka Ongka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ongka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Abebe. Ongka Ongka has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mohammad Al Nasser's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohammad Al Nasser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ongka Ongka!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ongka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Al Nasser was well out of range. Poor timing from Ongka.

Ongka shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ongka was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ongka is looking to take a break and control but Al Nasser is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Al Nasser manages to get back to half guard.
Ongka controlling the action here.
Ongka wants to pass the guard but Al Nasser is defending well.
Al Nasser might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ongka has gone for a leg lock! Al Nasser slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ongka's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Al Nasser thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Al Nasser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Al Nasser is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

I would just about give that final round to Ongka Ongka.
Well Ongka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ongka Ongka decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
