Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dean comes to the cage accompanied by Will Smith-Geting Jiggy with it. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Dean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Shamrock! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A cross from Shamrock lands.
It looks like Mike Dean has been cut. Nice shot by Shamrock. Ken Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shamrock scores with a jab to the body. Good shot there by Shamrock. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shamrock lands a big right hand that sends Dean crashing to the mat! Shamrock stays standing though and waves Dean back to his feet!
Dean is rocked! Dean shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shamrock sprawls well. Shamrock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dean gets slowly back to his feet. Oh Dean is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dean closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shamrock's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dean trying to control the position from guard on top but Shamrock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dean seems to have got his legs back now. Dean is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Shamrock is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dean controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Mike Dean wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Shamrock's jab looks to have found its range, popping Dean under the eye. Shamrock cracks Dean with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Dean looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Shamrock finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action! Shamrock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dean. Shamrock throws a right and a left that Dean avoids nicely. Dean drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dean tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Dean is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shamrock knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Dean sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Shamrock is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dean trying to control the position but Shamrock is working away. Shamrock is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Shamrock is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dean asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dean controlling the position. Shamrock has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Shamrock tries to buck Dean off but Dean is having none of it. Dean works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Dean working the ground and pound but Shamrock is defending the strikes. Dean just content to control the position. Dean tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dean has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shamrock tries to bench press Dean off him but Dean keeps the position. Shamrock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dean working the head and body with strikes. Dean lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Shamrock down.
Shamrock wants to get back to his feet but Dean drags him back down. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dean tries for a kimura but Shamrock is defending well. Dean lands some shots froms side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Shamrock dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mike Dean's cut. That's time! Dean's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Shamrock connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dean momentarily.
Dean takes one to the chin there. Shamrock throws a head kick but Dean moves out of range.
Dean tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shamrock swivels and escapes. Ken Shamrock seems to be getting the better of the standup. Shamrock lands with an uppercut that bounces Dean off the cage and back into range.
Mike Dean's cut is getting worse. Shamrock stalks Dean and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dean's face. Dean staggers backwards, shaken. Dean gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Shamrock gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ken Shamrock!
