Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hi my name is. Jon Jones had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cain Sonnen!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails with the takedown
and Sonnen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now.
Sonnen landing with the ground and pound.
Jones keeping full guard, as Sonnen tries to pass.
Sonnen forces his way into half guard.
Sonnen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jones has hold of Sonnen's hands but Sonnen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
It looks like Jon Jones has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sonnen lands with a punch from half guard.

Sonnen working over Jones with some ground and pound. Jones looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Jon Jones's cut is getting worse.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones is refusing to be controlled, as Sonnen sits in half guard.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sonnen lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Jones quite badly. Jones pulls Sonnen in close trying to recover. Sonnen postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Jones on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Jones doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Sonnen!
After winning the bout, Cain Sonnen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
