Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ralph Hamton! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamton feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Williamss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Williams darts in looking for a takedown but Hamton gets double underhooks and turns Williams into the cage. Hamton looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Williams manages to break the clinch.
Hamton pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hamton scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Hamton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Williams swinging wildly here.
Hamton misses with a hook. Williams takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hamton lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Hamton drops Williams with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Williams looks back up at him and smiles so Hamton waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Williams is rocked! Williams shoots in for a takedown but Hamton shows good takedown defense. Oh Williams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hamton drops Williams with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Williams! Hamton dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ralph Hamton!
