The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kangami fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Michaels misses with a body shot.
Kangami doesn't manage to clinch there - Michaels circles away.
Michaels tries to close the distance and clinch but Kangami swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kangami throws a right hand that Michaels ducks under and follows up with a left that Michaels also avoids with ease.

Michaels has managed to clinch.
Kangami wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

A frustrated look appears on Kangami's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Michaels wants to get back to striking at distance but Kangami won't allow it.

Michaels's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Tyrecous Michaels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichigo Kangami.

Michaels pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kangami shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Michaels as he jumps to the side.

Michaels lands a nice looking body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Michaels moves into the clinch.

Michaels breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Michaels throws a series of punches but Kangami avoids them all with ease.
Michaels tests Kangami's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Michaels misses with a series of wild punches.
A head kick by Michaels - that's a beauty! Kangami is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Michaels can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
