Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Cook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Silva! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva fails to land the takedown. Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Cook looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Silva! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Cook creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Cook looks up at the clock and then as Silva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cook smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Silva being controlled for a moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cook scores with punches from side control. Silva is trying to escape the position but Cook is controlling the position. Silva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Cook has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook advances nicely into full mount. Cook controlling the pace for now. Cook raining down hammerfists from mount. Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Cook cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cook content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cook lands with some strikes. Cook looking to isolate an arm here. Silva doesn't see it coming and as Cook extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Cook!
