Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Green Beret! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Balboa Batista! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batista misses with a series of wild punches.
Beret cracks the inside of Batista's front leg. Batista darts in and clinches Beret up against the ropes. Batista tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beret bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Balboa Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beret dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Batista. That did some damage! Beret scores with a leg kick.

Balboa Batista is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Beret lands a leg kick that knocks Batista off balance momentarily. Good leg kick by Beret there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Batista crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Beret - the referee stops the clock and Batista gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Beret. Batista manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Batista has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Beret. Beret throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. A nice leg kick lands there from Beret. A head kick misses from Beret. Batista shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Beret lands a head kick!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Beret lets loose with a powerful body kick. Batista will feel that in the morning.
