Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Jalkalukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jalkalukko's choice of entrance music: Jordan Sparks ft. Chris Brown - No Air . Jin Kim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 33 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Jin Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesse Jalkalukko! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jalkalukko scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Jalkalukko is looking for a kimura but Kim is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jalkalukko to get the leverage. Kim is trying is best to control the position here. Jalkalukko is stalling here. Kim is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jalkalukko seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kim has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kim fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Jalkalukko told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Jalkalukko is not content to let Kim control the position. Jalkalukko is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Jalkalukko takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jalkalukko is trying to get back to half guard. Kim swings around for an armbar but Jalkalukko sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kim's guard.

Jalkalukko throws a strike but Kim rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kim wants to pass the guard but Jalkalukko is keeping the position. Jalkalukko looking to control.

Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jalkalukko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kim quickly recovers to half guard. Jalkalukko with the ground and pound but Kim uses the opportunity to regain guard. Jalkalukko trying to control the position from guard on top but Kim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kim pulls Jalkalukko in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim keeping moving, preventing Jalkalukko from controlling successfully. Jalkalukko has gone for a leg lock! Kim slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jalkalukko's guard. Kim working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kim preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jalkalukko pulls Kim in close to his closed guard and prevents Kim from doing any damage or advancing position. Kim is looking to work some ground and pound but Jalkalukko has wrist control. Kim in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kim lands a couple of elbows. Jalkalukko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kim is concentrating on defense, preventing Jalkalukko from advancing position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jalkalukko is working for a kimura but Kim is defending it quite comfortably.
Kim wants to control but Jalkalukko is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jin Kim will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kim looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jalkalukko scores with a kick to the midsection. Jalkalukko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jalkalukko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jalkalukko has knee on belly and moves into mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jalkalukko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kim is looking to escape. Kim tries to lock up and control but Jalkalukko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jalkalukko trying to control but Kim is having none of it. Jalkalukko is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Jalkalukko misses with a head shot. Jalkalukko throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kim because Jalkalukko loaded up on that one. Jalkalukko controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kim holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Jalkalukko tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Jalkalukko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kim is looking to escape. Jalkalukko wants to control but Kim has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Jalkalukko is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jalkalukko! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Jalkalukko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Wait, no, Kim rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jalkalukko's guard! Nice work there by Kim! Jesse Jalkalukko has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kim doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kim manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kim trying to control but Jalkalukko is working from the bottom. Jalkalukko looking for a sweep. Not yet Jalkalukko, not yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kim fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jalkalukko avoids it really well and circles away. Kim rushes Jalkalukko and presses him up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jalkalukko gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jalkalukko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jalkalukko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kim is trying to control but Jalkalukko manages to pass to mount!
Jalkalukko punching from mount but Kim doing a good job of avoiding damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jalkalukko thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Jalkalukko trying to control but Kim is having none of it. Poor strikes thrown by Jalkalukko there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that's the end of the fight! Jesse Jalkalukko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jalkalukko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
