The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Traianus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Traianus uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takahashi.
Takahashi throws a head kick but Traianus moves out of range.
Takahashi scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Marcus Ulpius Traianus has been cut.
Takahashi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

The crowd cheers as Takahashi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Traianus doesn't seem phased though.
Traianus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Takahashi.

Takahashi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Traianus is out of range and Takahashi settles back down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Takahashi, right into the meat.

Traianus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takahashi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Traianus might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Takahashi has got the better of the exchanges.
