2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Ubartutu! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ubartutu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Ubartutu scores with a takedown into Bravo's guard. Ubartutu pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bravo is keeping the position for now. Bravo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ubartutu on the ground. Bravo has his foot on Ubartutu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ubartutu works his way back into a safe position though. Bravo working for a triangle but Ubartutu defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bravo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ubartutu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ubartutu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ubartutu won't allow Bravo to sweep him here. Bravo is looking for a triangle but Ubartutu pushes his legs off easily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ubartutu has a takedown stuffed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ubartutu tries to clinch but Bravo is having none of it. Ubartutu drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bravo is trying to control Ubartutu's posture but Ubartutu avoids it. Bravo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ubartutu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bravo checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ubartutu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ubartutu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Johnny Bravo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Ubartutu. Bravo shoots in and bounces Ubartutu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bravo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ubartutu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bravo drops back looking for a leg! Ubartutu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ubartutu manages to kick Bravo off! Bravo jumps back into Ubartutu's guard. Bravo rolls with it to try and escape but Ubartutu cranks on the arm and Bravo is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
