Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clark Channell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norbert Schwager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norbert Schwager will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clark Channell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Norbert Schwager! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Channell gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Schwager wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Channell misses with a double jab.
Schwager looks to score with a jab to the body but Channell is just out of range. Schwager lunges at Channell with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Channell's hand. Schwager ducks under a wild hook from Channell. Schwager uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Channell. Schwager has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Channell darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Channell throws a lazy right hand but Schwager sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Channell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Channell missing with a left hand there. Schwager was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Channell with a body punch. A glancing blow. Schwager throws a right and a left that Channell avoids nicely. Channell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Channell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Schwager connects with a body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Schwager walks into a straight right hand from Channell. Schwager scores with a hook to the body. Channell takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Schwager throws a series of punches but Channell avoids them all with ease. Schwager waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Channell. Channell tries to land a leg kick but Schwager saw it coming and moves away.

Channell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schwager sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Channell somewhat. Channell misses with an uppercut. Schwager saw that one coming. Schwager throws a nice looking combination but Channell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Clark Channell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Channell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Channell is putting a hurting on Schwager here, landing some big shots from side control. Schwager is trying to buck Channell off. Channell is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schwager is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Channell looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schwager is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Channell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schwager, who protects the arm well. Channell postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Channell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Schwager has escaped the position, nice work there. Channell misses with the ground and pound. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Schwager wants to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Norbert Schwager will probably get the nod. That's time! Channell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Schwager throws a shot from downtown. Channell moves away and avoids it. Clark Channell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Channell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Schwager eats them both and turns towards Channell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Schwager misses with a jab, cross combination.

Schwager leaves Channell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clark Channell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Schwager fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Channell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Channell looking to score a takedown here. Schwager is defending well but Channell drives through and ends up in Schwager's guard. Schwager wants to stand and escape but Channell is having none of it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Channell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Channell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Schwager is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Channell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Channell darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Channell is looking for a kimura but Schwager is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Channell to get the leverage.
And that's the end of the fight! Clark Channell showed his dominance in that final round. I think Channell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
