Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamish Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stu Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kersikov's entrance music is Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding - I Need Your Love. A fine choice. Stu Mercer has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hamish Kersikov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stu Mercer! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kersikov misses with a hook. Mercer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kersikov's waist but Kersikov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mercer off to one side. Kersikov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kersikov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Stu Mercer has been cut. Mercer with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kersikov to score with a decent uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mercer chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kersikov can pounce on him.
Kersikov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kersikov connects with a solid leg kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mercer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Mercer walks into a stiff left hand from Kersikov. Kersikov moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kersikov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mercer to score an easy takedown into full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Kersikov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Mercer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kersikov is pulling down on Mercer's head to control his posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kersikov is trying to control the position but Mercer postures up. Kersikov has Mercer pulled in close to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Hamish Kersikov wasn't doing enough on the ground. Kersikov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mercer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A good leg kick by Kersikov. Mercer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kersikov back to the cage. Mercer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Kersikov leaves Mercer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mercer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kersikov. Mercer checks the leg kick. Hamish Kersikov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kersikov.
Mercer looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kersikov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kersikov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Decent striking displayed by Kersikov there.
That has opened up Stu Mercer's cut even more. Kersikov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mercer's head backwards. Mercer checks a leg kick. A head kick by Kersikov - that's a beauty! Mercer is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Kersikov can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Hamish Kersikov! Hamish Kersikov is the new super heavyweight champion!
