Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zayed Abdullah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abdullah comes into the arena with Kalluri Vaanil blaring out of the sound system. Melo has chosen Fort Minor - Remember the name as his entrance music. Zayed Abdullah had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdullah swinging wildly here.
Melo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Abdullah tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Melo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That kick from Melo tenderised Abdullah's leg. Abdullah is trying to keep his angry face on.
Melo fakes the leg kick and cracks Abdullah in the body.
Melo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Melo misses the shot to the body.
Abdullah tries to bum rush Melo with a series of wild strikes but Melo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Melo throws a leg kick which misses Abdullah's front leg but catches the back leg as Abdullah tries to avoid it.
Melo is looking to slow Abdullah down with leg kicks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Abdullah tries to clinch but Melo moves out of range.
Zayed Abdullah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Melo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Abdullah has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Melo finds it's way round the side to connect with Abdullah's head.

Melo gets tackled into the cage by Abdullah. Abdullah maintains the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Abdullah tries to close the distance and clinch up but Melo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Melo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Abdullah closes the distance but Melo moves to the side
and Melo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Melo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Abdullah.
Oh Abdullah is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Abdullah is breathing heavily.
Abdullah sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A head kick by Melo - that's a beauty! Abdullah is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Melo can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Felipe Melo!
Felipe Melo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
