Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Charles Skarbowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Si Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skarbowsky comes into the arena with Lux Aeterna blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Charles Skarbowsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Si Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skarbowsky pushes Robertson away with a front kick.
A head kick misses from Skarbowsky.
Skarbowsky throws a half hearted mid kick.
Skarbowsky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Skarbowsky throws a sloppy head kick and Robertson moves out of range easily.
Skarbowsky dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Robertson. That did some damage!
Robertson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Skarbowsky swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Robertson scores with a nice body kick.
Skarbowsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Robertson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Skarbowsky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Robertson manages to avoid it.
Skarbowsky throws a series of punches but Robertson moves out of range.

and Skarbowsky counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Robertson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Robertson counters with a big head kick but Skarbowsky shrugs it off.
Robertson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Good leg kick by Skarbowsky there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Skarbowsky seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Skarbowsky misses with a head kick.
Skarbowsky looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Robertson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Robertson cracks the inside of Skarbowsky's front leg.

and Skarbowsky takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Jean Charles Skarbowsky has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Robertson swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Robertson.
Skarbowsky connects with a leg kick. Robertson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Skarbowsky goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Robertson connects with an inside leg kick.
Skarbowsky misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robertson blocks a low kick nicely.
Skarbowsky lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jean Charles Skarbowsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skarbowsky misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Skarbowsky scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Robertson looks to land a combination. Skarbowsky sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Robertson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Skarbowsky.
Skarbowsky throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Skarbowsky lands a leg kick that knocks Robertson off balance momentarily.
Robertson misses with a kick to the body.

and Robertson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Robertson throws a front kick aimed at Skarbowsky's knee but Skarbowsky avoids it well.
Skarbowsky is looking to land body kicks.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Robertson.
Robertson steps in with a hook that catches Skarbowsky right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Robertson follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Skarbowsky looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Si Robertson!
