Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Helios Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kang Deng Tiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Helios Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kang Deng Tiao!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Deng Tiao looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Deng Tiao misses with the combination.
Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Deng Tiao to the mat! Deng Tiao manages to get full guard.
Silva with a flurry of punches that miss.

Deng Tiao working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Deng Tiao is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Deng Tiao is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard.
Deng Tiao throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Deng Tiao passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Silva is trying to control Deng Tiao's posture but Deng Tiao avoids it.
Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Deng Tiao wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Deng Tiao gets to mount! Silva was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Deng Tiao is tying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Deng Tiao is working for a kimura but Silva is defending it quite comfortably.
Deng Tiao is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Deng Tiao can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Deng Tiao is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Deng Tiao is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Deng Tiao to get the leverage.
Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Silva is defending against the submission attempts here by Deng Tiao.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Deng Tiao content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Deng Tiao is defending well.

A close round but Kang Deng Tiao will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Deng Tiao tries to buck Silva off but Silva is having none of it.

Deng Tiao is looking to improve his position.
Silva wants to take a breather but Deng Tiao is having none of it.
Silva is working for a submission of some sort.

Deng Tiao has hold of Silva's hands but Silva slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Deng Tiao defends it well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Deng Tiao is looking to sinch up a triangle. Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Deng Tiao's body to avoid the submission. Deng Tiao has instead reached around Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Deng Tiao arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
