Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Heath Chappell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rooy Tahnupa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Heath Chappell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rooy Tahnupa!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tahnupa avoids a kick to the body.
Chappell lands a head kick!
Tahnupa throws a right hand that Chappell ducks under and follows up with a left that Chappell also avoids with ease.
Chappell throws a head kick but Tahnupa moves out of range.
Crunch! Chappell slams his shin into Tahnupa's torso.
Chappell seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Chappell slips a jab and a cross from Tahnupa.
A left and a right from Tahnupa both land. Nice combination.
Tahnupa blocks a head kick by Chappell.
Chappell pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
An inside leg kick from Chappell misses.
Chappell explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Chappell lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Good exchange - Tahnupa coming out on top.
A nice leg kick lands there from Chappell.

Tahnupa takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Tahnupa's coach down at Facebreaker Academy : Striking was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tahnupa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Chappell is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tahnupa.
Chappell pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Tahnupa keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Tahnupa misses with a few strikes there.
Tahnupa digs a good body shot into Chappell's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tahnupa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Tahnupa lands a jab to the head.
Chappell lands with a kick to the temple. Tahnupa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A cross from Tahnupa lands.
Chappell throws a looping overhand right but Tahnupa ducks down to avoid it.
Chappell throws the kick towards the body but Tahnupa avoids it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tahnupa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chappell - the referee stops the clock and Tahnupa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chappell. Tahnupa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Chappell is looking to slow Tahnupa down with leg kicks.
Chappell swings for the body but Tahnupa moves out of range.
Chappell throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Chappell. Tahnupa shrugs it off though.
A slapping body kick lands there for Chappell.
Tahnupa looks winded!
Chappell scores with a head kick.
Chappell lands a big head kick that sends Tahnupa tumbling to the mat! Chappell takes a step backwards and waves Tahnupa back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Tahnupa is still on wobbly legs! Can Chappell finish him?

Nice body kick there by Chappell.
Chappell and Tahnupa are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Chappell throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Tahnupa into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Chappell knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Heath Chappell!
