Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stark's entrance music is Jay Z - Dig a Hole. A fine choice. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benjamin Grundy!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark misses with the combination.
Stark attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Grundy feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stark's calf.
Stark throws a body punch but Grundy moves out of range.
Grundy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Stark has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Stark throws a lazy head kick
and Grundy counters with a nice body shot.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stark.
Grundy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stark's head backwards.
Thomas Stark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grundy lands with a nice combination. Stark backs away looking to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters circle momentarily. Grundy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Stark looks for the body kick but Grundy saw that one coming.
Grundy fails to land the takedown.
Grundy tries to clinch but Stark moves out of range.
Stark takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Grundy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stark.
Stark motions for Grundy to come forward. Stark throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Grundy avoids a punch combination nicely.

Grundy thows a body shot but no joy.
Grundy scores with the left hand. Stark knows he should have avoided that one.
Stark jabs Grundy right on the nose. Grundy blinks but takes it well.
Grundy slips a jab and a cross from Stark.
Stark checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Grundy blocks the body kick.
Grundy connects with a solid leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Grundy crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Stark - the referee stops the clock and Grundy gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Stark. Grundy manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Stark takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Grundy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stark was well out of range. Poor timing from Grundy.

Stark throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stark swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Grundy counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Stark on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stark tries to get out of the position.

Grundy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stark defending well though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Stark has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Grundy is working away from the top position though.

That's time! Stark's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Stark takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Grundy has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Stark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stark misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stark lands a nice leg kick that just misses Grundy's sensitive parts.
Grundy throws a solid leg kick but Stark takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Grundy.
Thomas Stark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stark goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stark chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Grundy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grundy looks to score with a jab to the body but Stark is just out of range.

Stark throws a head kick but Grundy moves out of range.
Stark throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Grundy counters with a nice body kick.
Grundy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Stark takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The crowd cheers as Grundy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Stark doesn't seem phased though.

Stark takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Stark rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Grundy counters with an inside leg kick.
Grundy catches Stark with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Stark is rocked!
A slapping leg kick lands for Grundy.
Oh Stark is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Grundy lands a nice hook to Stark's body. Stark takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Stark takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Grundy finds Stark's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Stark flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Grundy lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Stark will be OK.

After winning the bout, Benjamin Grundy thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
