13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Anderson! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson dives in and scores a takedown into Drwal's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Drwal is pulling down on Anderson's head to control his posture. Drwal utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drwal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Drwal's legs - danger averted. Drwal working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Anderson. Anderson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Drwal keeping full guard, as Anderson tries to pass. Anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Drwal has wrist control. Drwal is pulling down on Anderson's head. It's preventing any offense from Anderson, at least for the moment. Anderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Anderson with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drwal avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Anderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Drwal works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Drwal pulls Anderson in close to prevent any damage. Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drwal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Drwal's legs - danger averted. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Drwal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Anderson lands a couple of decent looking shots. Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Drwal is retaining full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Anderson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
It looks like Tomasz Drwal has been cut. Anderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Drwal utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson passes into half guard. Anderson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Anderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Drwal's head. Anderson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Anderson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Drwal is trying to maintain the position but Anderson is very close to passing his half guard. Anderson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Drwal defending well though. Anderson trying to pass the guard but Drwal defending well. Drwal is looking to improve his position.
Anderson is thwarting Drwal's attempts to control the position. Anderson lands with a punch from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Drwal's head. Drwal avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Anderson. Anderson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ground and pound from Anderson. Drwal is pressing down on Anderson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Drwal trying to keep a closed guard but Anderson is proving a slippery customer.
Drwal managing to control the position. Drwal not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Anderson cracks Drwal with a solid left hand. Anderson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Drwal is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anderson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Oh Drwal is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tomasz Drwal's cut is getting worse. Anderson postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Drwal covers up, he's hurt! Anderson keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Anderson and the ref steps in to end the fight! Anderson can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

A relieved looking Alexander Anderson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
