Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Nicholls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Braun Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braun Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Braun Silva! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva takes a swing at Nicholls's ribcage but misses. Silva throws a shot from downtown. Nicholls moves away and avoids it. Silva takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A slapping body kick lands there for Nicholls. A slapping leg kick lands for Nicholls.
Nicholls throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nicholls clinches with his opponent.
Silva throws a head punch that misses. Silva looking to stall.
A nice left hand lands by Nicholls.
Nicholls misses with a punch on the inside.
Silva tries to pull guard but Nicholls holds him up against the cage and eventually Silva drops back down to his feet.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Silva swings wildly with an uppercut but Nicholls uses good head movement to avoid it. Silva should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. A quick uppercut on the inside from Nicholls.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nicholls fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Nicholls lands an uppercut. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nicholls. A head punch blocked on the inside by Silva. Nicholls misses with a punch on the inside.
Silva blocks an uppercut.
Nicholls presses Silva against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Nicholls will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Silva up against the cage. Silva taking a breather. Silva pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nicholls working some strikes from top position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nicholls lands a couple of decent looking shots. Nicholls trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nicholls can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Silva looks winded! Nicholls trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nicholls distracts Silva with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Nicholls lands a couple of decent looking shots. Nicholls lands a couple of elbows. Nicholls has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Nicholls lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Nicholls lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Silva is rocked! Nicholls postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Silva covers up, he's hurt! Nicholls keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Nicholls and the ref steps in to end the fight! Nicholls can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
