Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donald Cerrone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Juan! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Juan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cerrone.

Cerrone throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cerrone connects with a good right hand that stumbles Juan. Juan circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Juan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Juan takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Cerrone throws a shot to the body.
Cerrone lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Cerrone looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Donald Cerrone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Juan throws a jab when Cerrone was well out of range. Cerrone connects with a leg kick. Juan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Cerrone dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Cerrone connects with the punch. Cerrone is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Cerrone lands a nice shot that snaps Juan's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Juan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cerrone - the referee stops the clock and Juan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cerrone. Juan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Cerrone misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Juan fails to land the takedown. Juan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Cerrone tries a head kick but it misses.
Cerrone lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Juan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cerrone did well to prevent Juan getting side control. Cerrone is defending against the submission attempts here by Juan.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Juan passes to side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Cerrone can't do much from the bottom here. Juan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cerrone rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Juan's guard! Nice work there by Cerrone! Juan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cerrone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cerrone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cerrone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Juan on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cerrone is posturing up here but Juan has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Cerrone tries to roll out but it's too tight and Cerrone has to tap! Slick submission there by Juan!
