Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Doki Lakatos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Doki Lakatos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, John Jr!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Jr lands.
Jr connects with a body shot that sends Lakatos's belly button to the back.
A left lands for Jr.
Jr works Lakatos's body with a nice hook.
Jr digs a good body shot into Lakatos's ribs.
Jr darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lakatos walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Lakatos drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lakatos pushing down on Jr's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Lakatos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Lakatos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Lakatos throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lakatos works his foot free and advances to mount.

Lakatos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lakatos has control of Jr's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jr regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lakatos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Lakatos with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Lakatos jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jr manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Lakatos stands up and beckons Jr to his feet.
Jr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jr pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Lakatos back to the cage. Jr follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jr missing with a left hand there. Lakatos was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lakatos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jr throws a body punch but Lakatos moves out of range.
Jr looks winded!

Lakatos doesn't manage to clinch there - Jr circles away.
Lakatos looks to land a body kick but Jr moved away.
Lakatos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
John Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lakatos drives through with a takedown into Jr's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lakatos gets to his feet - Jr follows without any prompting.
Lakatos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lakatos throws a right and a left that Jr avoids nicely.
Lakatos slips a straight right by Jr.
Lakatos fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jr takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Lakatos walks into a left hand.
Some wild striking there from Jr.

Lakatos drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lakatos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lakatos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lakatos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Lakatos throws a big right hand that misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lakatos gets to his feet. Jr looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doki Lakatos dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lakatos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Lakatos advances to half guard.

Lakatos decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lakatos circles away quickly and effectively.
Jr misses with a hook. Lakatos ducked under it nicely.
Horrible takedown by Lakatos or perhaps it was just good defense by Jr which made him look bad.
Jr is breathing heavily.
Lakatos takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jr misses the shot to the body.

Lakatos drives through and clinches with Jr against the cage.

Lakatos gets control of Jr's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lakatos will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lakatos has his hands on Jr's head, controlling the position.
Lakatos thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Jr tries to stand but Lakatos is controlling from the bottom.
Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lakatos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Doki Lakatos wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Lakatos tries to clinch but Jr moves out of range.
Lakatos slips a jab and a cross from Jr.
John Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jr swings for the body but Lakatos moves out of range.
Doki Lakatos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lakatos misses with a series of wild punches.
Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lakatos.

Lakatos clinches up against the cage.

Jr has Lakatos pressed against the cage, preventing Lakatos from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jr is trying to force a seperation but Lakatos has the dominant position.
Jr is trying to break free.

Lakatos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lakatos.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doki Lakatos. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's time! Lakatos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Lakatos takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Lakatos shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lakatos showed some decent athleticism there.
Jr on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Lakatos moves into full mount! Jr won't be happy about that!

Lakatos thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lakatos moves to back control.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Lakatos tightening his grip on Jr, looking for the choke.

Lakatos is working for a rear naked choke. Jr is not defending it well and Lakatos has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Jr refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Jr's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
