The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jung drives through and clinches with Spoon against the cage.
Jung pulls guard successfully.
We've been hearing good reports from Jung's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Spoon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jung has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spoon has managed to get both his arms back between Jung's legs - danger averted. Jung is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Spoon rolls with it to try and escape but Jung cranks on the arm and Spoon is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chan Sung Jung! After winning the bout, Chan Sung Jung thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
