Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyun-Chul Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuken Yanagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyun-Chul Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryuken Yanagi!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yanagi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kim.
Kim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Yanagi misses with a takedown
and Kim counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

so Kim counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Yanagi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kim is looking to improve his position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Yanagi has his takedown stuffed
and Kim connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kyun-Chul Kim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryuken Yanagi.

and Kim decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yanagi's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kim won't allow Yanagi to pass to mount.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Yanagi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kim avoids it really well and circles away.

Kim motions for Yanagi to come forward. Kim throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Yanagi throws a strike but Kim rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kim passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Yanagi tries to buck Kim off but Kim is having none of it.
Yanagi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kim is putting a hurting on Yanagi here, landing some big shots from side control.
Kim is trying to ground and pound but Yanagi uses the momentary lack of control by Kim to regain half guard.

Kim is looking to work some ground and pound but Yanagi has wrist control.
Kim throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Yanagi wants to sweep here but Kim controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kim stands up over Yanagi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kyun-Chul Kim will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kim throws a leg kick but Yanagi moved away.
Kyun-Chul Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kim. That's going to slow Yanagi down.
Yanagi goes for a double leg but Kim avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kim continues to drive forward.

Kim pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Some bone on bone action there as Yanagi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kim throws a body punch but Yanagi moves out of range.

and Yanagi counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kim!

Yanagi looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kim with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Yanagi postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Kim out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Yanagi goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ryuken Yanagi!
Ryuken Yanagi gave a mention to Milwaukee's Best 160 SALE $140 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
