Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John MacTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shogun Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Kashmir. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John MacTavish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shogun Silva! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacTavish tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range. Silva looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Silva slips a straight right by MacTavish. Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck MacTavish on the side of the head. MacTavish throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot. MacTavish just misses with a punch to the body.
MacTavish misses with the combination.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silva. Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Shogun Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sloppy strikes from MacTavish. Those never looked like landing. Silva checks a low kick from MacTavish. MacTavish misses with an uppercut. Silva misses with a straight left. Silva misses with an uppercut
and MacTavish counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Shogun Silva has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva moves out of range of the strikes. Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from MacTavish. Nice defenses there by Silva. MacTavish swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. MacTavish is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Silva's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. MacTavish is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silva. Silva throws a leg kick but MacTavish sees it coming and checks it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacTavish misses with a two punch combination.
Silva has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. MacTavish moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off. MacTavish feints with a jab and clips Silva right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Silva is sent crashing into the canvas and MacTavish leaps in for the kill! Silva tries to get to his feet but MacTavish is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Silva is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John MacTavish!
