Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Its Ono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeru Takeru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Its Ono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeru Takeru! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ono works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Ono lands with a cross. Ono looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Takeru is fending him off so far but Ono persists. Nope, Takeru circles away and we're back to standing. Ono misses with a body shot.
Takeru takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Ono works the jab nicely. Ono throws a leg kick enabling Takeru to counter with a crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Takeru misses. Its Ono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ono throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ono punishes Takeru's body with a nice straight punch. Jab by Takeru. Jab from Ono. Ono connects with a high kick. Takeru lands a nice shot to the body.
Ono throws a leg kick that is checked and Takeru counters with a good, hard body kick but Ono shrugs it off. Ono ducks under a wild hook from Takeru.

It looks like Takeru Takeru has been cut. Ono is looking to clinch. Nice uppercut lands for Ono. That snapped Takeru's head back.
Ono displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takeru throws out the jab. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ono checks a leg kick. Takeru throws a hook but Ono avoids it easily. Ono lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Ono slips under a jab. Takeru takes a swing at Ono's ribcage but misses. Ono has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Original Nemesis Gym in the buildup to the fight. Takeru takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Ono lands with a cross. Takeru looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jab by Ono. Ono shoots in but Takeru avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ono is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takeru looks to score with a jab to the body but Ono is just out of range. A swing and a miss from Ono. Ono misses with a wild body shot. Ono misses with a takedown attempt - Takeru sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Its Ono. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ono misses with a low kick as Takeru jumps back. Ono chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ono fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ono throws a looping overhand right but Takeru ducks down to avoid it. Takeru takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ono wants to land a leg kick but Takeru is out of range. Ono throws a body punch but Takeru moves out of range. Ono tries to work over Takeru's front leg with a kick but Takeru checks it.

Takeru missing with a left hand there. Ono was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ono scores with a leg kick.
Ono throws a body kick that misses. Ono lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Takeru at a distance.
Ono fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Takeru looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Ono lands a nice leg kick that just misses Takeru's sensitive parts. Ono scores with a decent looking hook. Ono changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ono closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Takeru did well to prevent Ono getting side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ono lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ono prevents Takeru from standing back up.
Ono has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ono scoring with strikes to the body and head. Ono lands with a punch from half guard. Ono passes the guard and advances to mount! Ono will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ono controlling the position easily from mount. Takeru squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Takeru can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ono punishing his opponent with strikes. Ono lands a big elbow. Ono working Takeru over with strikes here. Ono controlling from mount. Ono scores with a couple of good head shots there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ono bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Takeru's head. Ono throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Takeru sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ono tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takeru was well out of range. Poor timing from Ono. Takeru needs to keep his hands up - Ono had a free shot at his head there. Takeru connects with a crisp jab. Takeru swings for the body but Ono moves out of range.
Ono tests Takeru's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ono connects with a solid leg kick. Takeru misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ono.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Takeru takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ono lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A combination from Ono does no damage. Takeru is breathing heavily. Ono closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ono lands a shot to the body. Ono lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Ono winds up and cracks Takeru with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ono is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Ono with a couple of short strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ono controlling the position easily from mount. Takeru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ono. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ono in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Ono lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Ono with shots to the head and body - Takeru looks very uncomfortable down there. Ono lands a couple of good shots and Takeru has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Ono controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takeru covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Ono is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. No joy there for Ono, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Takeru turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ono is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Takeru can do to turn this around? This has been an exciting period of action! Ono ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Takeru moves away. Takeru gets tackled into the cage by Ono. Ono maintains the clinch. Ono lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Takeru or not. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ono lands a body punch. Ono lands a left hand.

Ono tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Takeru Takeru is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice straight punches there by Ono. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ono. Takeru doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Ono lands an overhand right. This has been an exciting period of action! Ono connects with a crisp jab. Ono is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Ono lands a jab to the nose. Takeru Takeru has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Its Ono is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ono lands with a shot to the body. Ono fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Takeru has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Ono lands a glancing blow to the side of Takeru's head. Ono scores with a jab to the body. Ono looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ono connects with a leg kick. Takeru looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Ono cracks Takeru with a right hand to the side of the head. Ono throws a head kick that half lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takeru with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ono to score with a decent uppercut. Ono lands a body shot.
Ono looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Takeru throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ono uses it to pass to side control.
Takeru is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Ono lands a nice forearm strike. Takeru wants to get back to his feet but Ono is dominant here and he's now got Takeru's back! Ono lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
