Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuai Liang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ashton comes to the cage accompanied by Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man. Liang comes into a darkened arena with his song building. So Cold by Breaking Benjamin kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kuai Liang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Ashton.
It looks like Kuai Liang has been cut.
Liang moves to clinch but Ashton breaks away
and Ashton counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Liang is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Ashton shoots in and drives through. Liang sprawls well.
Ashton takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Ashton throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Liang tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ashton is in Liang's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ashton wants to pass the guard but Liang is keeping the position.
Ashton lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Liang utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ashton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Liang is just riding it out for now. Ashton eventually gives up the hold.
Liang is looking to get back to is feet but Ashton passes into side control.

Ashton misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Liang is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ashton is controlling him well.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ashton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
