Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mano Da Fiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Mellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mano Da Fiel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Mellis!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Fiel shoots in looking for a takedown. Mellis tries to sprawl out of it but Da Fiel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mellis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Da Fiel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Da Fiel stuffs the takedown.

Da Fiel feints and as Mellis raises his hands in defense, Da Fiel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Da Fiel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mellis keeping moving, preventing Da Fiel from controlling successfully.

Da Fiel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Da Fiel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mellis has his foot on Da Fiel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Da Fiel works his way back into a safe position though.

Da Fiel drops back looking for a leg! Mellis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mellis manages to kick Da Fiel off! Da Fiel jumps back into Mellis's guard.

Mellis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Da Fiel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mellis is looking for a triangle but Da Fiel pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Da Fiel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Da Fiel has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mellis to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Da Fiel is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mellis pulls down on the head and he's put Da Fiel to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ryan Mellis!
