Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zachary Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick shoots for a takedown but Mitchell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Patrick goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Patrick throws a lazy head kick
and Mitchell moves into the clinch.
Mitchell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Patrick walks away with a smile on his face. Mitchell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Patrick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mitchell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Patrick as he avoids it easily.
Patrick misses with a head kick.
Mitchell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Patrick swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Patrick scores with a nice right hand.
Mitchell lands a nice looking body kick.
Mitchell tries to bum rush Patrick with a series of wild strikes but Patrick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mitchell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Zachary Patrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Mitchell.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A close round but Travis Mitchell will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mitchell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mitchell wants it to stay on the feet.

Mitchell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Patrick looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Patrick looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Patrick!

I would just about give that final round to Travis Mitchell.
Well Mitchell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
