The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zsofka Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Zsofka Jr lands a left and a right that send Matthews crashing to the mat, dazed. Zsofka Jr thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Eric Matthews has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zsofka Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Matthews steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zsofka Jr.
Matthews looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Matthews has a takedown stuffed.

Zsofka Jr gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Matthews blocks an elbow strike.
Matthews is looking for a takedown.

Zsofka Jr has Matthews pressed against the cage. He pushes Matthews back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Zsofka Jr throws a beautiful elbow that sends Matthews crashing to the floor! Zsofka Jr piles on the pressure with more strikes! Matthews is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
