Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Schwaty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Schwaty! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwaty tries to grapple but his opponent circles and James counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. James tries to sprawl but Schwaty drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Schwaty not doing much here.
James wants to get back to his feet. Schwaty trying to pass the guard but James defending well. Schwaty wants to stand up but James is controlling the position.
James looks like he's trying to stand up.
James on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if James tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. James really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Schwaty trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom. James looks like he's trying to stand up.
Adam Schwaty has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Schwaty shoots in and drives through. James sprawls well. Schwaty tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. James shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Schwaty is trying to get back to full guard. Schwaty flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. James connects with a nice short shot to Schwaty's temple. James slips a nice elbow through Schwaty's hands, connecting with Schwaty's forehead. James scoring with strikes to the body and head. James lands strikes from half guard. James will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! James blocks the strikes from Schwaty.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwaty kicks James off and gets back to his feet. A punch combination from Schwaty misses. James shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Schwaty counters with a thumping low kick. Excellent takedown into side control there by Schwaty. James is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Schwaty has knee on belly and moves into mount. James in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Schwaty trying to control but James is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James really wants to buck Schwaty off and get back to his feet. Schwaty tries to control but James wriggling away. Schwaty won't let James get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Schwaty lands a big shot there that rocks James but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! James is trying to stand. James is breathing heavily. Schwaty tries to control but James wriggling away. James is trying to stand up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James is squirming around, avoiding Schwaty's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that James James will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Schwaty has his takedown stuffed and James counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Schwaty! Schwaty takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. James looks up at the clock and then as Schwaty takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, James smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

James lands a few punches from side control. Schwaty regains half guard. James is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Schwaty taking some punishment here, with James in his half guard. James seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. James thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Schwaty's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. James lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Schwaty wants to control but James is keeping busy and won't allow it. James thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Schwaty has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. James is working away from the top position though. James throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. James not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Schwaty is looking to control James's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Schwaty avoid being mounted? James drops an elbow to the side of Schwaty's head. James lands with a punch from half guard. Schwaty tries to roll over but James keeps him under control. James working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. James not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James misses with a head shot. Schwaty uses the momentum to regain guard. James chips away with some ground and pound. Schwaty has momentary wrist control but James slips an elbow through the middle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Schwaty avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Schwaty preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Schwaty is trying to control the position from the bottom.
James makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. James with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. James throws an elbow that misses. Schwaty uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Schwaty! Schwaty stops James from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwaty would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schwaty working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of James's head. Schwaty prevents James from getting back to his feet. Schwaty wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Schwaty's corner. There ya go! There ya go! James is working an open guard so Schwaty takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schwaty is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Schwaty circles away and we're back to standing. Nice defenses there by James.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Schwaty which made him look bad. Schwaty tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but James defends well and Schwaty ends up having to push James into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Schwaty looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. James wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James James. That's going to take a lot out of him. Schwaty's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Schwaty tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Schwaty shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. James defends it nicely. Schwaty doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James James dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Schwaty has a takedown stuffed. James tries for a takedown but Schwaty circles away easily and Schwaty counters with a nice double leg into guard. James is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Schwaty is controlling him. Schwaty tries to free his leg and advance position but James is retaining full guard. James is looking to stand up but Schwaty isn't so interested in that idea. Schwaty wants to get up but he can't break James's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. James keeping moving, preventing Schwaty from controlling successfully. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Schwaty won't allow James to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwaty wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position. James is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Adam Schwaty. Schwaty misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Schwaty. Schwaty shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Schwaty ducks down and throws a hook to the body but James moves away. James gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Schwaty to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schwaty stops James from standing up. James James overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Schwaty showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Schwaty won't allow James to get back to his feet. Schwaty trying to control but James is working from the bottom.

Schwaty lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for James! James tries to buck Schwaty off but he can't manage it. Schwaty looking to control but James is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. James's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schwaty controlling from mount. James is trying to stand. Schwaty trying to control but James is having none of it. Schwaty looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
James really wants to buck Schwaty off and get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schwaty landing strikes, looking to finish! James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Schwaty can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as James is looking to escape. James tries to buck Schwaty off but he can't manage it.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Schwaty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think James has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
