The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basra lands with a thumping leg kick.
Garcia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Basra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garcia somewhat.
Garcia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Basra's waist but Basra gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garcia off to one side.
Garcia is trying hard to land a takedown here. Basra sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ali Basra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Garcia.

Garcia is trying to drag Basra to the mat but Basra just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Garcia's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Garcia shoots for a takedown but Basra saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Basra bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Garcia's head backwards.
Garcia is rocked!
Basra connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Garcia tumbling to the canvas! Basra pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Garcia was done - good stoppage!
