Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Az Newto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woods comes to the cage accompanied by skillet-monster. Az Newto has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Woods! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Az Newto! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woods gets a double leg takedown into Newto's guard. Newto is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Woods with a flurry of punches that miss. Newto wants to stand up but Woods is controlling him. Woods decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Woods fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Newto to the ground. Woods is now in Newto's guard. Woods is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Woods pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Newto is keeping the position for now. Woods working some strikes from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woods trying to control but Newto is working from the bottom. Woods engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Woods works a leg free and moves into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from Woods. Newto is looking to get back to is feet but Woods passes into side control.
Woods wants to control but Newto is keeping him busy. Woods prevents Newto from escaping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woods is trying to get an arm triangle but Newto is defending well. Woods working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Newto looks winded! This has been an exciting period of action! Newto is working to avoid the ground and pound but Woods connects with a decent elbow. Woods takes a little break here. Newto wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Woods is looking to take a break and control but Newto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Woods looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woods scores with punches from side control. Newto takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Woods has hold of Newto's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Newto tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Woods cranks the arm and Newto screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Newto, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
