Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Gleiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the ring accompanied by The Bravery - time won't let me go. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kron Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Michael Gleiser! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie fails with the takedown. Gleiser shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gleiser gets slowly back to his feet. No luck for Gleiser with that takedown attempt. Gracie fails with the takedown and Gleiser counters with a left and a right that stings Gracie. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gleiser. Kron Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Gleiser. Gleiser tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gracie swivels and escapes. Gleiser fails with the takedown and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Gracie is trying to control. Gleiser wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gleiser does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gleiser felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Gracie trying to pass the guard but Gleiser defending well. Gleiser wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy.
Gracie prevents Gleiser from improving his position. Gleiser is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.
Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gleiser doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie. Gracie prevents Gleiser from improving his position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Gleiser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gleiser working for submissions but it's allowed Gracie to get to half guard.
Gracie is keen to just control but Gleiser is a slippery customer. Gleiser is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Gleiser defends the submission attempt. We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Gleiser is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gleiser is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gracie is looking for a kimura here.
