Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Calamity Show! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blake Jackson! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Decent striking displayed by Show there. Show decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Show trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson trying to control from the bottom.
Jackson gets back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Show throws a big right hand that misses. Show's corner is telling him to maintain position. Show might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Show paws at him with a jab and circles away. Show gets a double leg takedown into Jackson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Show is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Show throwing strikes but missing. Show works over Jackson with some ground and pound from guard. Show is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Jackson is looking to control Show but Show is wriggling around and keeping busy. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson misses with punches from the back. Jackson is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson working for a choke but Show is defending well. Jackson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Show has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Show just trying to survive but Jackson is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Show looking very determined here, making life difficult for Jackson.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson is persistently looking for the submission but Show is defending it well.

and Jackson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Show closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Show in side control lands a decent elbow. Jackson wants to control but Show postures up. Blake Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Show laying and praying for a moment but Jackson takes advantage and regains half guard. Show scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Jackson kicks off Show and gets to his feet. Calamity Show seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Show looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Show wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Show looking to pass the guard. Show slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Show stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Show wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Calamity Show just wasn't active enough. Nice takedown defense from Show. No joy for Jackson on that attempt. Show closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jackson to the mat! Jackson manages to get full guard. Jackson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Show defends well. Jackson is breathing heavily. Show working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Show prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet.

They are putting on a show! Show looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Show trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Show is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Show loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. That's three minutes gone in the round. Show catches Jackson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Show throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Show but Show pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jackson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Jackson gets caught napping as Show dives in and scores a takedown. Jackson manages to retain guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Show's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Show works over Jackson with some ground and pound from guard. Jackson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Show tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard. Show controls the pace of the fight for a moment. This has been an exciting period of action! Show lands a couple of elbows. Show controlling from the top position. Show lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Show with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Show looking to pass the guard. Show looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Show has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Show scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Show controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Show shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jackson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jackson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Jackson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Show is staying tight to Jackson's torso, preventing him from escaping. Show moves into full mount! Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
