Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roscoe Erickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Aldo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Aldo or perhaps it was just good defense by Erickson which made him look bad.
Erickson has a takedown stuffed.
Aldo misses with a body kick.
Erickson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Aldo did well to prevent Erickson getting side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Aldo is trying to stand back up but Erickson is controlling him
Aldo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Erickson controlling the pace.
Erickson wants to stand up but Aldo is controlling the position.
Aldo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Erickson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Aldo tries to kick Erickson off in order to stand up. Erickson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Erickson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Aldo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Erickson staying calm.
Erickson trying to control the action but Aldo is working from the bottom.
Erickson controls the position.

Aldo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Erickson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Erickson takes the fight into the clinch.
Erickson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Aldo regains guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Erickson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Erickson stops Aldo from standing up.
Erickson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Erickson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Erickson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Aldo keeping full guard, as Erickson tries to pass.
Erickson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aldo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Erickson has managed to get both his arms back between Aldo's legs - danger averted.
Erickson wants to stand but Aldo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Erickson postures up in Aldo's guard and throws a big left but Aldo blocks it.
Erickson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Aldo has his foot on Erickson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Erickson works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Erickson stands and throws Aldo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Erickson is working to tighten his grip on Aldo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Aldo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Erickson is really squeezing tight and eventually Aldo passes out! Erickson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
