The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Americano Do Brasil throws a leg kick but Richards sees it coming and moves out of range.
Richards scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Richards is working for a submission of some sort.
Richards is looking for a kimura but Americano Do Brasil is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Richards to get the leverage.
