Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Malutin Andrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrey comes to the cage accompanied by Gunther -Ding Dong Song . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Malutin Andrey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Paul!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrey tries to score with a low kick but Paul moves his leg out of the way.

Paul clinches with his opponent.

Andrey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Andrey throws a leg kick
and Paul counters with a head kick. That will keep Andrey thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Andrey thows a body kick. Paul tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Paul chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Andrey can pounce on him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Andrey enables Paul to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Andrey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Paul wants to control from the top but Andrey keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Andrey is wriggling around but Paul manages to pass to half guard.
Andrey is staying active underneath Paul, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Paul seems to be looking for submissions.
Paul thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Andrey's head.

Paul misses with a takedown attempt - Andrey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Andrey throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Andrey tries a head kick but it misses.
Andrey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Paul looks for a takedown but Andrey sprawls well.
Paul fails to land the takedown.
Malutin Andrey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ron Paul.

Andrey throws a sloppy head kick and Paul moves out of range easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Andrey throws a right hand that Paul ducks under and follows up with a left that Paul also avoids with ease.

Malutin Andrey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Andrey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Paul tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Andrey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Paul dives in and grabs Andrey's left leg, looking for a takedown. Andrey pushes down on Paul's head and hops out.
Paul tries to close the distance and clinch but Andrey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Andrey throws a hook but Paul blocks it.
Andrey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Andrey feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Paul's calf.

and Andrey counters with a nice low kick that buckles Paul's knee momentarily.
Andrey throws a body punch but Paul moves out of range.
Andrey misses the shot to the body.
Paul lands with a kick to the temple. Andrey shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Andrey thows a leg kick but Paul checks it
and Paul counters with an outside leg kick.
Andrey missing with a left hand there. Paul was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Paul fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Andrey, pushing him back against the cage.
Andrey looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Andrey tries to break the clinch but Paul is controlling the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Andrey blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Paul looks for a takedown but Andrey sprawls well.
Paul avoids the body shot from Andrey.
Paul tries to clinch up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Malutin Andrey will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Andrey wants to get back to his feet but Paul is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Andrey wriggles free and stands up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Paul counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Andrey's guard now.

Andrey manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Andrey blocks an elbow strike.
Andrey wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Andrey has had enough of the clinch but Paul keeps him there for the moment.

Andrey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Paul sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Paul is looking to take a break and control but Andrey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Andrey is trying to escape back to his feet but Paul uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Paul thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Andrey is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Paul has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Paul decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Paul in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Andrey tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Paul!
