The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas shoots in looking for a takedown but Suggs manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lucas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Suggs scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Draven Lucas has been cut.
Lucas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Suggs swivels and escapes.
Lucas fails with a takedown attempt.
Lucas's coach down at Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lucas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
DeAngelo Suggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Draven Lucas.
Lucas moves to clinch but Suggs breaks away
and Suggs counters with a head kick that drops Lucas to the mat! Lucas scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Suggs is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Suggs moves out of range as Lucas throws a body kick.
Suggs catches Lucas with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
DeAngelo Suggs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Suggs lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lucas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lucas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Lucas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lucas darts in and clinches Suggs up against the cage.
Lucas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Suggs fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lucas lands with a nice combination. Suggs backs away looking to recover.

Lucas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Suggs throws out the jab.

and Suggs counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Some bone on bone action there as Lucas checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Lucas shoots in for a takedown but Suggs shows good takedown defense.

Suggs throws a hook to the side of Lucas's head but Lucas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Suggs counters with a nice leg kick.

A decent looking cross lands there for Suggs.

Suggs scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Lucas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That has opened up Draven Lucas's cut even more.
Nice takedown defense from Suggs. No joy for Lucas on that attempt.
Suggs avoids the head kick by Lucas.
Suggs misses with a wild body shot.
Suggs chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Suggs throws a nice inside leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A nice leg kick lands there from Suggs.
Suggs fakes the leg kick and cracks Lucas in the body.
Suggs throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DeAngelo Suggs dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!
Suggs is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Suggs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Suggs loads up on a big right hand but Lucas slips the punch.
Lucas tries to clinch but Suggs moves out of range.

Lucas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Suggs as he avoids it easily.
Lucas fails to land the takedown.
Suggs lands a big head kick that sends Lucas tumbling to the mat! Suggs takes a step backwards and waves Lucas back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lucas is still on wobbly legs! Can Suggs finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lucas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lucas is holding his hands too far apart here. Suggs throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Lucas is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
