Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trygve Bondevik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reggie Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Trygve Bondevik!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coleman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Coleman wants to control but Bondevik is keeping him busy.
Bondevik is trying to control Coleman's posture but Coleman avoids it.

Coleman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bondevik, who protects the arm well.
Bondevik is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bondevik can't do much from the bottom here.
We've been hearing that Coleman has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Coleman is looking to take a break and control but Bondevik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Coleman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Bondevik throws a push kick but Coleman slaps the foot to one side.

Bondevik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bondevik throws a leg kick but Coleman checks it.

Coleman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bondevik's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Coleman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bondevik's guard.

Coleman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Coleman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bondevik manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coleman manages to get himself to full guard.
Bondevik must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Coleman tries to land a sweep but no joy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bondevik wants to stand but Coleman is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bondevik throws a push kick but Coleman slaps the foot to one side.
Bondevik fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Coleman checks it well.
Bondevik throws a leg kick but Coleman checks it.
Bondevik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bondevik misses with a body kick.
Bondevik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Coleman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bondevik to the mat! Bondevik manages to get full guard.
Coleman passes Bondevik's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Coleman looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Coleman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Coleman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Coleman here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Bondevik wants to get back to full guard.
Coleman wants to control but Bondevik is keeping him busy.
Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bondevik's head.
Coleman slips a nice elbow through Bondevik's hands, connecting with Bondevik's forehead.

Coleman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bondevik wants to control but Coleman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Coleman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Coleman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Bondevik's temple.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Coleman is looking to take a break and control but Bondevik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Coleman is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Coleman is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Bondevik reverses the position - he's now on top in Coleman's guard.
Bondevik wants to get up but he can't break Coleman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Bondevik takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Check out the look on Coleman's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bondevik keeps working.

Coleman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bondevik knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bondevik decides to get back to his feet. A strange decision but one that the crowd certainly appreciate.

and Coleman counters with an inside leg kick.

Bondevik gets caught napping as Coleman dives in and scores a takedown. Bondevik manages to retain guard.
Coleman stands and throws Bondevik's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Trygve Bondevik has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Coleman has knee on belly and moves into mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Coleman is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Bondevik is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Bondevik flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Coleman anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Bondevik and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Coleman slips an arm under Bondevik chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Coleman has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Coleman is squeezing on Bondevik like an anaconda would it's prey. Bondevik fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Reggie Coleman!
