The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhem ducks under a wild hook from Hammer.

Hammer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mayhem tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hammer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammer lands a nice forearm strike.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mayhem can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mayhem tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hammer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mayhem's shoulder. That is not cool.
Hammer lands a nice forearm strike.
Hammer lands an elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mayhem tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Hammer scoring with big shots to the body. Mayhem is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Mayhem was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.
