Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh McCuistion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tane Hendersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCuistion comes to the cage accompanied by Sweatin' to the Oldies. Tane Hendersson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Josh McCuistion's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh McCuistion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tane Hendersson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCuistion shoots in looking for a takedown. Hendersson tries to sprawl out of it but McCuistion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hendersson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McCuistion changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hendersson tries to avoid it but McCuistion manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hendersson to the ground. Hendersson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hendersson shoots and misses
and McCuistion counters by moving into the clinch.
McCuistion unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hendersson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
McCuistion turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McCuistion manages to end up in side control.
McCuistion sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hendersson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Hendersson manages to work his way to half guard, despite McCuistion's best efforts.
Hendersson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hendersson.
McCuistion wants to stand but Hendersson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
McCuistion might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hendersson looking to hit a scissor sweep but McCuistion is one step ahead there.
McCuistion wants to control from the top but Hendersson keeps moving.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hendersson can do anything to dispel that myth.

McCuistion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hendersson wants to improve his position but McCuistion is controlling well.
Hendersson is trying to control but can't.
Hendersson wants to sweep but McCuistion has passed to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCuistion in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Hendersson tries to bench press McCuistion off him but McCuistion keeps the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hendersson is not content to let McCuistion control the position.
Hendersson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh McCuistion dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hendersson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McCuistion counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

McCuistion is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hendersson is just riding it out for now. McCuistion eventually gives up the hold.
