Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jigoro Kano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jigoro Kano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis closes the distance and clinches.
Kano lands with a light punch inside.
Pettis prevents a body shot from Kano.
Kano has a couple of punches blocked by Pettis.
Kano throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pettiss head.
Kano lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pettis backwards.
Pettis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kano plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kano throws a head kick but Pettis moves out of range.
Kano keeps the fight on the outside.

Pettis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kano to the ground. Pettis is now in Kano's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Pettis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kano wants to get back to his feet but Pettis passes into half guard.

Pettis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kano wants to control but Pettis is keeping busy.
Pettis decides to stand and escape the position.
Pettis sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Pettis!
Good leg kick by Kano there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Anthony Pettis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kano tries a low kick but Pettis avoids it.
Pettis wants to clinch up but Kano keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pettis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kano tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pettis is in Kano's guard.
Kano really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kano is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pettis is controlling him.
Pettis won't allow Kano to sweep him here.
Pettis distracts Kano with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Kano is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pettis scores with a couple of nice shots.
Pettis escapes and gets back to his feet.
Kano throws a combination. Pettis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kano throws a sloppy head kick and Pettis moves out of range easily.
A head kick misses from Pettis.
Pettis scores with a takedown into Kano's guard.
Kano is breathing heavily.
Kano is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pettis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Pettis advances position into side control!

Kano can't do much from the bottom here.
Kano seems a little lost for a moment, as Pettis dominates the positioning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pettis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kano is pushing Pettis's head away, looking to escape. Pettis manages to hold on to the position though.

Kano gets caught flat footed, as Pettis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pettis forces his way into half guard.
Kano is trying to control but Pettis manages to pass to mount!

Pettis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kano is looking to escape.

Pettis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pettis lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Kano is in all sorts of trouble here.

Kano tries to hold on but Pettis pushes him away.

Pettis looking to control but Kano is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kano has given up his back here.
Good control from Pettis.
Kano is trying to defend against the choke here but Pettis has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Pettis Tightens the hold and Kano taps out furiously! Pettis displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
