Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, King Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Macky Jawara!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moss throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Jawara bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jawara swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Moss fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jawara avoids it really well and circles away.
Moss wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jawara checks a leg kick.
We've been hearing reports that Moss has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jawara rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Moss moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Macky Jawara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jawara throws a looping overhand right but Moss ducks down to avoid it.
Moss shoots in for a double leg but Jawara sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A head kick misses from Moss.
Jawara throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Moss sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Moss is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jawara sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Moss. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Moss looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jawara is fending him off so far but Moss persists. Nope, Jawara circles away and we're back to standing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moss blocks a head kick by Jawara.
Moss stalks Jawara and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jawara's face. Jawara staggers backwards, shaken.

Good leg kick by Jawara there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jawara throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice sprawl there from Jawara as Moss shoots in.
Jawara looks to throw the jab but Moss is out of range.
Moss checks the leg kick.
Moss moves into the clinch successfully.
Jawara wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Moss gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jawara throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Jawara wants to stand up but Moss is controlling him.
Jawara tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Moss looking to sit in guard and control but Jawara gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Moss had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jawara defends it easily.
Moss is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jawara tries to free his leg and advance position but Moss is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moss goes for an armbar but Jawara turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jawara.
Moss has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Moss looks to clinch
and Jawara counters with a good low kick that Moss was not able to check.
Jawara connects with the punch.
Moss avoids a kick to the body.
Moss pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd cheers as Jawara lands an impressive looking overhand right. Moss doesn't seem phased though.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jawara.
Moss on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jawara. Jawara obviously looking to wear him down.
Moss shoots in for a takedown but Jawara shows good takedown defense.
Jawara pulls out of a head kick attempt.
King Moss is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jawara.
Moss dives in for a single leg takedown but Jawara sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jawara tries to break the clinch but Moss is controlling the position.
Jawara lands with a light punch inside.

Moss turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
You can see the frustration on Jawara's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jawara tries to escape but Moss is in control.
Moss goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jawara rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Moss's guard! Nice work there by Jawara!
Jawara wants to control from the top but Moss keeps moving.
Jawara decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jawara throws out a loose jab but Moss uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jawara misses with a hook.
Moss shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jawara's guard.
King Moss overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Moss is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jawara knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moss throws an elbow but Jawara slips to the side and avoids it well.
Moss misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Moss cracks Jawara with a big right hand but Jawara just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Moss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jawara wants to control from the top but Moss keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moss working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jawara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jawara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A close second round but Macky Jawara will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Moss counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

The fight stays on the outside here - Moss looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
