Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Riku Ahlvik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riku Ahlvik has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Riku Ahlvik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Leon Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson connects with a right hand. Ahlvik shakes it off.
Henderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Henderson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Henderson gets tackled into the cage by Ahlvik. Ahlvik maintains the clinch.

Ahlvik tightens his grip and picks Henderson up, before dumping him to the ground. Henderson manages to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ahlvik wants to stand but Henderson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Ahlvik passes Henderson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ahlvik is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Ahlvik is trying to control the action in half guard but Henderson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Ahlvik misses with a head shot. Henderson uses the momentum to regain guard.
Ahlvik tries to free his leg and advance position but Henderson is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Riku Ahlvik.
Henderson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ahlvik. Ahlvik circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Ahlvik fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Henderson is out of range.

Henderson wants to get up but he can't break Ahlvik's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Riku Ahlvik just wasn't active enough.
Ahlvik needs to keep his hands up - Henderson had a free shot at his head there.
Leon Henderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ahlvik tries to bum rush Henderson with a series of wild strikes but Henderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Leon Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ahlvik closes the distance and pushes Henderson back into the cage.

Ahlvik is trying to trip Henderson. He has hold of a leg but Henderson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ahlvik persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Ahlvik's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Henderson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Henderson lands a nice shot that snaps Ahlvik's head back.
Henderson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ahlvik was well out of range. Poor timing from Henderson.
Ahlvik throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Henderson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Henderson has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Ahlvik rushes Henderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ahlvik is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Henderson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Ahlvik turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ahlvik throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Henderson works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ahlvik takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ahlvik tries to move into full mount but can't pass Henderson's legs.
Ahlvik wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henderson keeps working.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Riku Ahlvik will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Henderson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ahlvik is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Henderson, into his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ahlvik slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Henderson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ahlvik stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Riku Ahlvik.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ahlvik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Riku Ahlvik decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
