Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Samura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fransino Tirta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cameron Samura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fransino Tirta! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samura keeps the fight on the outside. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Samura. Tirta tries to clinch and Samura counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Tirta manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Tirta trying to control but he's not successful this time. Tirta goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Samura turns into him and now he's in Tirta's guard.
Tirta is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Samura accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tirta trying to control the position.
Tirta manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Samura manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tirta trying to control the position from guard on top but Samura is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Samura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tirta gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tirta drops back looking for a leg! Samura is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Samura manages to kick Tirta off! Tirta jumps back into Samura's guard. Tirta has gone for a leg lock! Samura slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tirta's guard. Tirta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Samura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tirta on the ground. Tirta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Samura missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tirta is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Samura keeping moving, preventing Tirta from controlling successfully. Samura not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tirta drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tirta jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tirta trying to control but Samura is working from the bottom. Tirta advances position into side control! Samura is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Samura on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Samura tries to get out of the position. Tirta tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tirta trying to control the action but Samura is working from the bottom. Tirta is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Samura is trying to escape and Tirta transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Samura is forced to tap! Nice work there by Tirta! Very nice indeed!
