Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kassidy Cullen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mordecai Wollsey! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wollsey avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wollsey slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Cullen throws a hook but Wollsey blocks it. Wollsey misses with a lunging right hand
and Cullen counters with a right hand to the body. Cullen misses with a leg kick. Wollsey connects with an inside leg kick. Cullen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A clash of legs there as Wollsey blocks the low kick. Wollsey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cullen throws a leg kick but Wollsey checks it. Cullen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Cullen drives through with a takedown into Wollsey's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Wollsey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cullen's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wollsey throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Wollsey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wollsey throws a sloppy strike and Cullen has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Wollsey is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Cullen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kassidy Cullen! Kassidy Cullen gave a mention to Hell's Balls Recovery (160) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
