Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eli Armis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmonray Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Armis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mortal Kombat Theme. Malapitan has chosen My Time is Now as his entrance music. Eli Armis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eli Armis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dmonray Malapitan! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armis shoots in looking for a takedown but Malapitan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Armis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Some wild striking there from Armis.
Armis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Malapitan circles away. Armis doesn't succeed with the takedown and Malapitan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eli Armis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Malapitan trying to control but Armis is working from the bottom. Malapitan looking to pass the guard. Malapitan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Armis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Malapitan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Armis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Armis keeping moving, preventing Malapitan from controlling successfully.

Armis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Malapitan advances position into side control! Malapitan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Armis is looking to regain half guard here but Malapitan keeps moving and retains side control. Malapitan is looking to take a break and control but Armis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Armis is trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armis is working hard here to advance position. Armis can't do much from the bottom here. Malapitan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Armis tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Malapitan working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Armis parries the strikes from Malapitan easily there. Malapitan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Armis to escape.
Malapitan is looking to take a break and control but Armis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Armis struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malapitan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Armis won't allow Malapitan to pass to mount. Malapitan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Armis. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Armis. Armis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Malapitan's half guard. Malapitan is trying to get back to full guard. Malapitan is not content to let Armis control the position. Armis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Malapitan is just riding it out for now. Armis eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armis is looking for submissions but instead, Malapitan has regained full guard.
Malapitan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Armis trying to control the position from guard on top but Malapitan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Armis is pushing down on Malapitan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Malapitan is fighting to maintain full guard but Armis has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Malapitan sees it coming and defends easily. Armis wants to work for an arm triangle but Malapitan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Malapitan wants to improve his position but Armis is controlling well.
Malapitan won't allow Armis to pass to mount. Armis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Malapitan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Armis not doing much here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malapitan wants to get back to full guard. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Armis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Malapitan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Armis wants to pass the guard but Malapitan is keeping the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Malapitan wants to get back to his feet but Armis is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Armis wants to control from the top but Malapitan keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eli Armis dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Armis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Armis trying to control the position from guard on top but Malapitan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice sprawl there from Malapitan as Armis shoots in. Armis fails to land the takedown. Armis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Armis fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eli Armis. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Armis can't keep his opponent in guard - Malapitan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Armis gets full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Armis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Malapitan! Armis controlling the pace for now. Armis with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armis trying to control but Malapitan is having none of it. Malapitan is trying to stand up. Armis wants to control the pace but Malapitan is squirming around nicely. Malapitan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Malapitan regains half guard. Malapitan is refusing to be controlled, as Armis sits in half guard. Malapitan is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Armis is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Malapitan still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Malapitan has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Armis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eli Armis. I think Armis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
