Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between The Joker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Joker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jim Miller's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Joker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Miller!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Joker moves into range and connects with a jab.
Joker closes the distance looking to clinch

and Miller counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Joker is trying to break the clinch but Miller has him pressed against the cage.

Miller breaks the clinch.
Miller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Joker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Miller takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Joker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Joker.
No joy there for Joker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Miller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Joker counters with a left to the body.

Miller gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Miller stalling the fight.
Joker has had enough of the clinch but Miller keeps him there for the moment.

Miller has Joker pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Miller pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Joker tumbling to the mat - Miller dives into Joker's guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Joker wants to stand and escape but Miller is having none of it.

Jim Miller has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Miller fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

A combination from Joker does no damage.
Miller shoots in looking for a takedown but Joker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The Joker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Miller.
Joker pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Miller back to the cage. Joker follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Joker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Joker lands with a straight right. Miller didn't see that one coming.

Joker is wriggling around but Miller manages to pass to half guard.

Miller stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The Joker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Miller avoids a punch combination nicely.
Miller on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Miller misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Miller shoots in looking for a takedown but Joker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Joker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The Joker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fight stays on the outside here - Joker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Joker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Miller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Miller with a flurry of punches that miss.
Miller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Miller decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Joker, up you get!

Joker tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range.
Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Joker, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Joker against the cage but Joker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Joker looks to land a combination but Miller avoids it well.

Joker throws a right and a left that Miller avoids nicely.

and Miller counters by clinching up.

Come on Miller - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Miller jumps guard and drags Joker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Miller wants to get back to his feet but Joker is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Miller wants to sweep but no luck.

Joker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Miller seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Joker scores with a crisp jab that stopped Miller in his tracks.
Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.

Miller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Joker was covering up waiting for the punch and Miller finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Miller not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively.

Miller misses with a takedown attempt - Joker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The Joker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Miller.

Miller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Joker as he jumps to the side.
The Joker is winning the standup battle so far.
Joker misses with a few strikes there.

Miller has Joker up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Miller has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Joker regains guard immediately.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jim Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Joker throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Miller holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Joker is trying to break the clinch but Miller has him pressed against the cage.

Miller has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Joker uses from the top position.

Miller has control of Joker's left arm, preventing Joker from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Miller gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Miller fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Joker, pushing him back against the cage.

Miller has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Joker clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Jim Miller has got the better of the ground game so far.

Miller is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Joker is defending well though. Miller let's go of the attempt for now.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Joker wants to get back to his feet.
Miller trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Joker doesn't escape.

Miller is working for a rear naked choke. Joker is not defending it well and Miller has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Joker refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Joker's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
