The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trum throws a combination but it was largely blocked by May.
May rushes Trum and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Trum tries to score a body lock takedown but May shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
May has Trum pressed against the cage.
May using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trum accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

May is wriggling around but Trum manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

May decides to stand up, so the ref orders Trum to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Spenser May will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
