The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grant throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grant has his takedown stuffed and Satan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Grant slips under a jab from Satan. Grant uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Satan. Grant manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Satan on his heels. He'll look to pass Satan's guard now, I'm sure. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Satan trying to keep a closed guard but Grant is proving a slippery customer.
Satan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Satan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grant. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Grant passes easily into side control. Nice work. Grant trying to control the action but Satan is working from the bottom. Satan is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Satan keeps trying to improve his position. Grant moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Satan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Grant working away. Satan is not content to let Grant control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Satan tries to bench press Grant off him but Grant keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Anthony Grant wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Satan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Grant doesn't manage to clinch there - Satan circles away.
Grant tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Satan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Grant misses with a takedown and Satan counters with a nice body shot. Grant is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant has his takedown stuffed and Satan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Satan pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Grant cracks the inside of Satan's front leg. Grant tries for a takedown but Satan circles away easily letting Satan counter with a right hand. Satan misses with a straight right. Grant tries to keep at a distance but Satan has taken the fight into the clinch. Satan has Grant pressed against the cage, preventing Grant from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Satan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Grant gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Satan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Grant misses with a takedown attempt and Satan counters with a right hand to the body. Satan pushes Grant up against the cage in a clinch. Satan has Grant pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Anthony Grant will probably get the nod. That's time! Grant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Grant blocks a jab. Grant misses with a takedown attempt and Satan counters with a lovely straight right hand! Grant tries to close the distance and clinch but Satan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Grant shoots and misses and Satan counters with a lovely straight right hand! Grant wants to clinch but Satan slips to the side and Satan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Satan gets a takedown into half guard. Satan is keen to just control but Grant is a slippery customer. Satan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grant trying to hold on to Satan's head to control him but Satan postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant is not content to let Satan control the position. Satan is just content to waste time from the top position. Grant takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Satan trying to control the position from guard on top but Grant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Satan showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Grant keeping moving, preventing Satan from controlling successfully.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Samael Satan wasn't active enough on the ground. Satan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant misses with a takedown and Satan counters with a right hand to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grant misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Satan looks to land a left hand but Grant moved out of range nicely. Grant has a takedown stuffed. Grant with a lazy takedown attempt and Satan counters with a stiff right hand. A big left from Satan misses. Grant tries to clinch but Satan moves away and Satan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Satan closes the distance and clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Satan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Grant tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Satan avoids it. Satan tries for a takedown. No joy.
Satan misses with the head strike.
Satan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Satan throws a head punch that misses. Grant is trying to break free. Grant pulls guard effortlessly. Satan wants to control from the top but Grant keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grant is trying to control the position but Satan postures up. Grant keeping moving, preventing Satan from controlling successfully. Satan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Grant haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Samael Satan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Satan misses with a straight right. Satan jabbing away but nothing is landing. Anthony Grant is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Grant tries to clinch up but Satan circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samael Satan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Grant with a poor takedown and Satan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Satan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Satan wants it to stay on the feet. Satan misses with a looping left. Grant moves out of range of the strikes. Satan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Grant staying out of range there. Satan shoots in and bounces Grant off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Grant keeping moving, preventing Satan from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Samael Satan was stalling too much, according to the referee. A looping hook to the body misses from Satan. Grant does a little dance to reset his feet. Grant fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some bone on bone action there as Satan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Anthony Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grant looks for a takedown but Satan sprawls well. Satan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Satan wants to take a breather but Grant is having none of it. Grant is trying to control but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant fails in his attempt to clinch. Grant throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Satan instigates a clinch. Satan has hold of one of Grant's legs. Grant is fighting the takedown attempt but Satan gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Satan postures up.
Satan trying to control but Grant is working from the bottom. Satan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Grant throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Satan sitting in guard, not really doing much. Satan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Satan moves into the clinch. Satan tries to pull guard but Grant holds him up against the cage and eventually Satan drops back down to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Grant trying to land knees to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Samael Satan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Satan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
